Nonprofits that achieve lasting growth infuse a dynamic ingredient into the heart of their fundraising efforts. Board members, together with staff, focus on building powerful collaborative relationships that unleash the full potential of their stakeholders. It’s the single most effective way to fund your programs.

This fun, interactive one-day event is built on the principle that “Opportunities Go Where Relationships Flow.” In the spirit of team-building, your Board leaders, the CEO/Executive Director, and key staff, work together in groups of four. Learn how to easily incorporate the art and science of collaborative relationship-building into your development process.

In the morning, develop the three crucial components. Board leaders discover how to make a lasting impact and become fundraising champions as a “Relationship Ambassador.” The Executive Director becomes the “Relationship Advocate.” The Advocate develops skills to uncover hidden resources and then engage supporters in the development process. Staff learn how to become “Relationship Stewards.” They’ll get appointments they’ve been unable to get, connect faster, and achieve their goals without pressuring people to give.

In the afternoon board members are invited to participate. You’ll resolve two more key development challenges. First, learn how to retain more donors and create ways to move them up the commitment ladder. Employ time-saving cultivation strategies that go far beyond the “thank you” letter or the occasional “Ask” visit.

Second, you’ll tune-up your organization’s treasure hunting skills. Develop techniques that will unlock hidden fundraising and board-building opportunities buried deep within your supporters. Discover how to get others to comfortably share their valuable resources with you and put them to work growing your mission.
